His own story
The Global G.A.P. protocol was born in 1997 as an initiative on behalf of some of the most important European distribution chains, in order to offer consumers and the market quality, safe, environmentally friendly, traceable products, produced with respect for workers’ health.
Global G.A.P. is an international organization, partaken by the main distribution groups, born with the aim of standardizing the voluntary regulations for Good Agricultural Practices applicable globally. Companies, therefore, tend to see it more and more as an essential prerequisite for compliance with the contractual requirements with the large-scale distribution.
The main requirements covered by the Global G.A.P. are:
- company traceability, management of environmental aspects within the company;
- health and safety of company labourers and related working conditions;
- controls of the production process and correct company management;
This certification is required by many European large-scale retail companies in order to offer consumers and the market safe quality products with documented traceability. It is an organization with the fundamental objective of promoting safe and sustainable agriculture on a global scale.
Also this year La Marca Flowers has obtained the Certification from the Global G.A.P. This certification was born from the association of many large companies and is valid throughout the European community.
Being our company in compliance with the rules imposed, we can sell our products all over the world (Holland, France, Russia and the U.S.A.).
